Gutes Restaurant im Bauhaus-Stil!
Depending on the time, choose a place where the west sun is strong and you can sit down. The hamburger has a lot of volume and is recommended.
We had a good breakfast!
Bad breakfast. Macciato lukewarm, yogurt expired, egg cold. Therefor 15 €. Not recommendable.
Delicious salads and burgers. Recommendable
Cappuccino was okay, cheesecake delicious!
Very cozy location
Foods' okay. People are polite and quiet, the staff is super nice and kind. If you're staying here, recommend to visit.
Students Cafe. Suitable for a small snack. But you shouldn't expect more.
We had a delicious dinner here. The staff was really friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is very relaxed and the opening hours are great too. A star deduction is for the breakfast, since the value for money in my opinion is not necessarily true. Nevertheless, a great location for a cozy evening!
Unfortunately not great. The cafe does not fit in my opinion to the style, I was missing a good coffee, no portafilter, just push-button coffee, too bad!
Everything alright! ?
Nice service, fast food, casual atmosphere, reasonable prices. There are burgers (also vegetarian), pancakes (also hearty), breakfast, cakes, daily specials ...
They try to order breakfast at 12:01 but that is only until 12:00, there are only the few dishes from the lunch menu. And the friendliness of the staff also leaves much to be desired. The tourists come anyway, because you do not need to make an effort.
Very nice location right in the basement of the Bauhaus in Dessau-Roßlau! It is a self-service bistro, drinks were delicious and the atmosphere was relaxed and laid back. The public is international and of course tourists come here except students.
Wide cake and food offer at relatively moderate pricing.
Delicious and large coffee, fresh ham, and bread. The shop staff were friendly and relaxed!
Abbreviated version for Google. Full text on TripAdvisor! The "café-bistro im bauhaus" is open from morning till late, making it a central contact point for the start and end of all activities, at least when you stay at the Bauhaus (see my review at TripAdvisor Hotels in Dessau on "The Bauhaus"). The payment with giro and credit card is only possible from 15 €. At the early breakfast time (from 08:00 o'clock) one sees here mainly the rather aged overnight guests. The later, the more mixed and younger is the audience, which in the evening is also made up of a number of students, pardon: students, who are probably responsible for the good and friendly service. At peak times, however, one must expect (too long) waiting times. The "café-bistro" offers some simple daily specials and has a small menu, especially with sandwiches and the like. The drinks list leaves nothing to be desired in my view. For beer drinkers there is a sufficient selection (4.20 € / 0,5l). The manageable wine assortment holds a house wine for only 3.80 € / 0.2l, on which one can dodge even if the slightly better wines (6.50 €) are not available. Also soft drinks and spirits are available in the usual and criticism-free extent. The "café bistro" offers especially for the overnight guests different breakfast variations at relatively reasonable prices. I opted for an espresso doppio macchiato (3.50 €) and the "continental" breakfast (7.50 €), consisting of two rolls, butter, sausage, cheese, jam and egg. The espresso from the fully automatic machine is drinkable. The included egg was carried in the egg cup to the table and gave the impression of being a soft-boiled breakfast egg. But it was not: in fact, it was a cold Brotzeitei, which was peeled and sliced but well suited to occupy a Semmelhälfte. This is also necessary, because the three Radl salami, the three half-slices of cheese and the jam for two rolls are hardly sufficient, which gave no cause for complaint. Whether a total price (for Caffè and breakfast) of 11,00 € for the offered service is to be regarded as appropriate, may everyone decide for themselves. On Sunday I have for breakfast the "fried egg with ham" (4,50 €, also with scrambled eggs) ordered. Since one egg was not enough for me, I asked for a second one, which is why the friendly gentleman at the bar wanted to double-bake fried egg. Fortunately, the misunderstanding cleared up in good time and it was explained to me that the mirror (or stir) egg consisted of three eggs. That's a decent portion at a very fair price. In contrast to the hard-boiled cold egg from the previous day, the fried eggs presented perfectly prepared with a soft yolk and slightly crispy fried egg white. Only the ham did not quite fit my expectations, as it was draped in nest form on the eggs. Here I prefer it, if ham or bacon keeps its shape while frying and then serves as a base for the eggs or is served to these. But these are rather petitessen. The Caffè creme doppio (€ 2.70) I ordered today corresponded to what usually comes out of machines that eject a hot drink at the touch of a button. This also applies to the still required espresso, which I took today in the simple variant and "unspotted" (€ 2.30 including glass of tap water) to me. As far as the pricing is concerned, these are almost in the area of major German cities, but are still within a reasonable range. Although I have criticized a few small things above, there is nothing to complain about "café-bistro in the bauhaus", which is why I stayed there several times during my 2.5-day stay and always felt comfortable. I can only recommend and would do it again.
Nice cafe
Campus style refectory food. Good value and convenient if staying at the Bauhaus apartments. Coffee from a machine, but OK.
Is and remains an average cafeteria (not more!)
Nice that you can sit outside. However, a few pillows would be appropriate for the hard wooden chairs and not the financial burden. The staff is nice. However, you have to transport the drinks yourself from inside to outside. Price / performance ratio is ok. Toilets are available .... soap unfortunately not. Overall, we felt comfortable.
It was packed, expensive and the food was by far the worst meal in a long time. There were ready-to-serve potatoes from the bag, rather greasy, baked with watery tomato slices and cheese. Unfortunately, the dish itself was already under the heat lamp for a while, the skin from the cheese had already dried ... This is definitely much better! But the food was fast and the service was quite friendly!
Delicious! Nice ambience. The vegan pancake is recommended. ?
The cake was super delicious. The coffee was good. Nice place to hang around.
Pretty cool location with great food and nice drinks. Worth to visit everytime.
good coffe but no music or specific ambience!
Nice cafe and good breakfast.
